First born of the Year Elijah Tafari Johannes
was the first baby born in the V. I. for the New Year/ Millennium at
2:51 a.m. on Monday Jan 1, 2001. He received the key to the Millennium
Time Capsule which was closed on January 1st.
His mother is Jacqueline Springer and his father is Myron
Johannes Jr. He or
his descendants will be eligible after 100 years to open the time
capsule that was sealed at a ceremony at Government House on Monday
afternoon. He received many
gifts from the community. |
