Native Dolls are made in the
islands . They
are approximately 9 inches tall.
Each doll wears the local or native attire of her ancestors and this type of attire is
presently used for special occasions - an elegant native dress with madras head
tie and wrap.
They
gently hold the end of the skirt in their arm to show off her delicate cotton
slip trimmed with lace, as is the custom. They wear a cotton and lace
apron (with St. Croix written on it) and simulated pearl earrings and with
their hair tied back.
They wear lace panties and the legs are stuffed so that
they can stand up. Their
eyes, nose and mouth are indicated by a stitched design and her hair is made of yarn.
They make a great decor and conversational piece. Great for collectors. Our dolls all have different
prints- please write for more information.
