Children’s Books, “Exploring Caribbean Culture Through Reading”

Denise Bennerson PhD,  author of the “The Daniel Series” hope that many children, both young and young at heart, who read these stores about Daniel, can feel a sense of bonding with the character, because they may have also experienced similar situations. Her children’s books will provide a means for adults to speak with children about real life issues that they may face, similar to the character – Daniel in the stories.

The six children books are written in story form that is developmentally appropriate for young children. Many of her books are read to children in the Head Start Centers and public and private schools through out the Virgin Islands and the world. Several of the books are excellent to read and talk to children about disasters before or after they happen. Each book is approximately 12 to 14 pages with great simple illustrations.  You may contact Dr. Bennerson if you are interested in buying her children’s books the “Daniel series.”  Her children books are jointly supported by a grant from the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts VICA and the National Endowment for the Arts in Washington, DC, a federal agency.  Children books
